——————–
this was my weekend project this past weekend. the shelf supports are from live wire farm; john, the guy who made these, was super helpful. my walls, however, did not cooperate. at one point, i wanted to take a sledgehammer to the wall. but i didn’t. and i won.

the art is from sandra juto and it was a christmas gift (sandra’s photoblog is called smosch, you should check it out in the links to the right). the whale print is from nydam press. and i bought those antlers for like 2 bucks at kill devil hill in greenpoint (great store).

speaking of apartment decoration – check out this place. it’s the apartment of the owners of vinegar hill restaurant. i really like all of the little details.

late for work – gotta run.  have a good thursday (i love short work weeks!)

what a beautiful spot! and good for you for winning the battle with your wall :) i have this huge fear of putting up shelves… in my past battles the wall has always won…

does john from live wire farm look kind of like aidan from sex and the city? because that is how i imagine him.

Wow….it looks great. Can’t wait to come to Brooklyn and see all your improvements in person. It’s been a long time since I have been there.

(and kate, my communications w/ john were strictly electronic, so i can’t say…but that is hilarious)

and i’m in love with the whale print. thanks for the link to nydam press — they’re wonderful! did you see the one of the two circling each other? they’re dancing.
