hi, friends. instead of flickr faves today, i thought i’d leave you with some shots taken at a country fair over labor day weekend. not pictured above: the 8 (yes, 8!) apple fritters that i ate (in addition to other delicious things).

i’m taking off for some exciting travels and so i am signing off here until the week after next. i should have lots of photos to share then.

    apple fritters – yes! one tv rec i have for you when you get here is ‘masterchef’. i saw the most heavenly apple fritters on this week’s episode. i think you’ll like it.

    apple fritters! yum. love the look of that watermelon. was there a tractor pull? it’s one of T’s favorite things to watch. enjoy your travels!

    I really only want to know how a watermelon can win first prize without being nibbled on a bit? I mean, who is to say it’s not dry and musty inside? Hmmmmm..must investigate further!

    Watermelon is a vegetable? Is this a fruit and vegetable category? Did things change and no one notified me or does everyone just know this and I’m clueless.
