it is a hard thing to do, but you all have rendered me speechless. the photos above are part of a top-secret project organized by jen. unbeknownst to me, she asked flickr friends across the world to take a photo and upload it to send me on my way. as i checked flickr this morning, these amazing messages kept pouring in.
i’m so thankful, and very lucky, to have met such wonderful people online through a shared interest in photography. someday, i will find the words to describe how much i value this community and the people i’ve met across the world(in person or online). but for now, i will offer a very simple, very sincere, thank you.

I just recently found your blog, and must say that this is SO beautiful. what a tribute to you, and flickr: deep friendship inspired by photography. (it makes so much sense, when I think about how photography reveals the way we see the world)

It takes a lot to make me cry, but the thought of your going gave me a lump in my throat. Visits here almost every day were quite comforting, and I’m not sure how not having that is going to make me feel. You do have lots of wonderful friends, but I think that’s because you make it easy. The very best of everything for your move, but know that you will be missed. Try to get back to posting really, really soon.
