a new music find

…………
i just stumbled upon a great new band, called mumford & sons. these 4 guys from west london are good friends and they make amazing music together. they sound like the british version of the avett brothers. you will love their album, ’sigh no more’ – i’ve had it on heavy rotation and i can’t get enough. i also love the photography included in the album insert … these guys are right up my alley.
you can…
+ watch videos here
+ listen to tracks from their album here
+ if you are in the UK, buy their album. i’m not sure if you can find it in the U.S. yet, but i am sure these guys will be taking their act across the pond very soon.
i hope your week is going well … see you here tomorrow for friday flickr favorites (it’s been a while!)

Beautiful!
Good luck in London!
red berries against a blue sky is a favorite thing to see. now, to check out mumford & sons …

Got that album and love it !!!!!! especially “little lion man” …..great pics , Doesn’t London look great bathed in winter sunshine :0)
I usually don’t bother to check out music recommended on other blogs, but now I’m so happy I did! Their stuff is brilliant
perfect for this sunny day in Londontown.
Oh thank you Brian. I am stucked home with the big big cold. This is perfect for my recovery, lovely music, beautiful pictures and some hot tea. Your blog is definitely one of the best these days. Thank you for these good tastes and the good eye !
i love the tea cups! thank you for the new music. the two bands are similar. i’ve ordered it from amazon for a premium, but it will be worth it. i’m sure ‘little lion man’ will get play here in the states. not sure if it’s your type of music, but stereophonics just released a new album.
thanks for another music rec. your picks have been amazing.
hope you’re enjoying london.
boy, oh boy. that shot of the red berries is perfection.
I really like the cover!! So simple yet such a great idea. I went to their myspace but the music player is disable… hope it works again soon to listen to them.
hi brian,
london looks lovely- and thanks for the music tip!
if you ever have the time, you should take the train to cambridge for a day- it`s a great town and not too far.
best,anja
thanks! listening to it now…
What a great music find! I love the accordian!
Yes!! Aren’t they fabulous? A Brit friend turned me onto them recently — they may be just what the doctor ordered to replace my beloved Pela.
Is that sunshine I see streaming into that doorway in London?
And the teacups — Portobello Road?
Also check out Florence + the Machine…
Annnnnnd Mr. Hudson & The Library.

THANK’S for this band !!
i love it…less as your pics of courses !
Can I just say – that you’re a pretty cool character.
I love the music.
Punch buggy red!
Thanks for the tip off B. Just downloaded it from iTunes so I won’t get the cool sleeve in my hand. Downloading just doesn’t live up to the record store experience does it?
Have a lovely weekend X
i think we’re going to have to arrange some sort of transcontinental music trade.
Oh, the tea cups and the service berry tree together are wonderful. Thank you!
oh what beautiful photos. my favourite is the berries and then the red car.
it’s exactly the kind of music i need right now. thankyou brian*
everything is just lovely brian. lovely.
They are my new obsession too! I’m so glad they’re catching on in the States so we can get them touring back here again.
