rochelle school canteen
April 22, 2010

. . . . . . .
i finally made it to rochelle school canteen for lunch yesterday, on a bright and sunny spring day. tommy joined me, and we had a wonderful meal – the food was excellent. simple, well done, thoughtful, delicious. just how i like it.
the interior is one of the best parts – it’s housed in a converted bike shed next to the old rochelle school, and it’s bright and airy. it reminded me of the interiors in john pawson’s living and eating. white, clean, light antique wood and very minimal. it was a bit chilly to sit outside, but maybe next time. i can’t wait to go back again soon.
have a good one.

I wish they opened at the weekend. Would it be excessive for me to take a day off work just to go for lunch?
