edinburgh greens
November 11, 2010

. . . . . . . .
inspiration struck for a new project while we were visiting the royal botanic garden in edinburgh. i love when that happens.
the sculpture above is andy goldsworthy‘s slate cone. i’ve never seen his work in person, so i really loved this. (HERE is one of my all-time favorite pieces of his)
i’m hoping to have some black & white photos very soon. have a nice day.

You take the best greens. Very cheering on this grey grey day. Thanks!
Lovely greens, I was in Edinburgh recently and went to the Botanical gardens, its good to see your take on it, my camera sadly broke while I was there so I’ve only got a few shots, which is a bit upsetting but I’m enjoying your photos – looks like you had similar weather to us!
happy i found this blog!
love the light in that last one :)
Can’t believe you were in Edinburgh!
Would’ve loved to meet!
The gorgeous opposite to B&W.
So lush.
There is something so wonderful about visiting Botanical Garden hot houses on a winter’s day, your photos really capture the lush greenness in contrast to the white skies outside.
Andy Goldsworthy! They did a profile of him on CBS Sunday Morning a few years ago. I would love to see some of his work in person one day.
