. . . . . . . . . . . . .
there’s not a lot of light these days. a couple of weeks ago, i snapped a few photos of the sunrise. you’ve got to take advantage of whatever you can get in december.
and i thought i’d put together one last mix for 2010. some music that i’m listening to right now …. mostly seasonally-appropriate tunes, if you will.
you can listen to the december mix HERE.
the track list:
+ comin’ home baby (mel tormé)
+ what are you doing new year’s eve? (ella fitzgerald)
+ love on my side (lost in the trees)
+ morning routine (the red river)
+ oneness (many mansions)
+ killin’ the vibe (ducktails)
+ never ending song of love (delaney & bonnie)
+ albina (horse feathers)
+ little river (the tallest man on earth)
+ your silent face (new order)
+ end credits (keegan dewitt, from soundtrack to the film “cold weather”)
+ while i shovel the snow (the walkmen)
enjoy.
great playlist mr.ferry, thanks!
really like the pop of plaid in the last photo.
the music playlist sounds great – the first photo is my favorite.
MANY MANSIONS!
yeah!
nice!! thanks as always. it’s keeping me company today.
I second what Tim said…That plaid with the stripes looks great.
The music mix is wonderful too!
stripes, plaid, and horse feathers? wonderful.
you have such a beautiful way of finding the light.
I love the Walkmen, one of my favorite bands ever. Will check out your playlist.
Thanks! I love virtual DJ in the shop.
I’ll be honest with you… I only recognize three of the artists. Mel, Ella and Delaney.
All were Super Stars in their own right.
…side note: Up until Delaney’s passing I was working with him. We had a new CD that was doing great.
Delaney passed on Dec. 27th ’08 and he is missed greatly.
Delaney wrote “Never Ending Song Of Love” for his girls to sing to when they jumped roped.
Take care,
Steve
Thanks for keeping the spirit of Delaney Bramlett alive.
I love the playlist. :-)
You are such a nice person Brian. I really like reading your notes, it makes me fell happy, there’s a lot of kindness in it. The world needs beatiful images and nice words. Thank you.
Thank you again for your wonderful eight tracks mix. I love them all!
Happy Christmas and looking forward to your wonderful blog in 2011!

lovely light. I always like these kinds of around the house shots.
Ha…I went to high school (and sang in choir) with Keegan Dewitt…love that he’s a real musician now.
