stunning.
I love black and white- the light and the shadows are so striking. Thanks for sharing.
i like these a lot, brian. especially #8.
The pictures of the tomatoes in the kitchen are especially beautiful. I also like the landscape shot, in the middle, with all the clouds. Clouds look amazing, no matter in black and white or color.
Hey, Brian. I’ve been listening to a lot of Gillian Welch lately, too. Did you happen to hear this interview last month? It’s great. http://www.npr.org/2011/07/18/137823880/the-fresh-air-interview-gillian-welch-david-rawlings
i like the way the second last photo was shot: the tomatoes are cute on the window sill – like kids looking out the window…
i really love the view out the curtained window and the tomatoes on the window sill. just started shooting black and white myself this summer and i’m surprised by how much i love it.
also, seriously thanks for telling about gillian welch! she’s exactly what i’ve been needing recently.
absolutely gorgeous. i so covet the way you capture light.
This is one of the most refreshing blogs I’ve come across in a while. You’re so talented.
love the apples in the open window.
oops, they are tomatoes. same feeling.
your black and white landscapes take my breath away. more, please.
Gorgeous! I’m a HUGE fan of black&white films, photography…. The photos with the partially opened window and tomatoes looks amazing, there’s so much in that photo. Just lovely. Thanks for sharing them all. I just have to say, in sometimes warm, sometimes quiet, sometimes soft ways, you constantly inspire me with what you post. Thank you…and keep it coming :-)
