i feel like summer is passing me over this year, despite my best efforts. there’s also lots of work, long to-do lists, and so many emails to answer. i’m not finding much inspiration to share with you here. i haven’t been cooking much, i’m not spending enough time outside, and i’ve had no desire to snap new photos lately.
so i’m going to take a little blog holiday to do all of these things. recharge, regroup, relax, refuel. i’ll share some good stuff this week and then i’m going to sign off here for about 2 weeks. it’s good to take a break every now and then, i think.

Whatever allows you to stay inspired, do it! I anticipate your posts every day, but agree that a break is definitely needed now and then. You deserve it.

Your exposures are always so incredible. And your friends always dress well! Enjoy your break and may you come back even more inspired and inspirational. We’re finishing up winter here in Australia so the invigoration of spring is about to begin.
None of this shows in your work…at least not to this untrained eye…but if your many commitments allow, by all means get away. Forget about all the things that sap your energy and recharge. Can’t wait to see what you have to show us when you return. Your view of the things around you always incites me to look differently at my surroundings. Thank you for that.
Yeah, take a break! But don’t get down on yourself, man. You post beautiful, inspired photos all the time. I find your dedication and generosity very consistent; it is inevitable that it sometimes feels a strain. The disjunct between your images and your words seems clear to me, so I think you mostly need a change of perspective. Look through the lens with a grateful eye, seeing what is there – not what is missing.
I’ll miss your posts, but that will make the return much sweeter! Enjoy your break :)
