A Sunday evening at the very end of July, on the train from Edinburgh to London.
If you ever have the chance to travel this route, do it. It’s incredible.

with you photoshop is useless…
Lovely.
Excellent and I quite agree!
Looks magical, perhaps one day I will get to travel that route.
beautiful. love that first shot.
So serene.
planes, trains, automobiles. i love photos shot out of any of the three. these are lovely.
Agreed, that route is lovely, regardless of the weather. Though late evening, summer sun has a way of making an already gorgeous thing all the more spectacular.
Your blog looks great! And funnily enough, a few days ago I posted “A Morning on the Train” on my blog…

I love those fleeting moments and watching the world from a moving train.
I love that route too. Especially near the border at Berwick-upon-tweed. I’m always tempted get out and have a look around.
Thanks for letting me travel this evening without a ticket.
(I liked your recent-ish tweet about people asking things of you and then not saying/sending a simple thank-you. Snap! I have been flooded, it feels, by very same. People asking for the moon or slice of and then disappearing without a trace, without a thanks, a cheers. No small ta for your trouble… ah, here’s to politeness.)
To Hogwarts?! Beautiful.
great mood and feel…. as if traveling along with you
love that trip! thanks for bringing back the memories with such lovely photos
Simply breathtaking!
These photographs make me regret the decision not to travel to Edinburgh tomorrow.
I had the chance last year. Really amazing route! Just loved the sheeps. ;)
Lovely shots. I’ve made that trip several times and I needed to be reminded. Next, you have to make the trip from Edinburgh to Inverness–most of the way, I thought I was dreaming.
Two of my favourite cities… and train trips! Dreamy photos.
