I took these photos back in November at Thanksgiving, while visiting my parents in Connecticut. I went for walk in the woods and the light was incredible.

Brian, I admire the way you are able to see the spectacular in the commonplace. Many thanks for helping others to see that as well!
Amen to that!!
It’s your way with light that entrances.
you know i love these. hope we get a chance for a walk in the woods soon!
Wow. Really spectacular!
Quietly stunning, Brian!! Happy new year to you!
these are so beautifully composed and arranged — i am in awe
it really looks incredible. these are beauties, bf.
these are superb, brain. happy new year!
Reminds me some of the work of Willie Doherty, an Irish video-artist, who deals often with time. I saw two pieces by him taking us in to the woods.
Very lovely stills.
aah, brian, these are great. for me, pictures of trees with slashes of light across the ground never get old. i hope you are having a good 2012 so far.
I love these photos!
gorgeous. love that winter light.
brian: i’ve just stumbled upon your blog following a link on heidi swanson’s latest 101cookbooks post. your work is beautiful and inspiring. i love the way you capture light and admire your ability to turn even the simplest subject into a piece of art. i look forward to exploring more of your work. best wishes for a happy and inspired new year!
Amazing light, some really amazing work
I was just in CT last week, and I was thinking about how much I used to love going for winter hikes in the woods there growing up. The photos really capture those feelings!
well, i love this. gorgeous.
Did you see how industrious the beavers are there!? Geez. One of the best spots in the LC. Love going there!
Hey Brian
I had a similar experience at Hampstead Heath last November. I love the way the light finds its way down to the forest floor through the maze of leaves and branches.
Here are the pictures I got http://www.flickr.com/photos/snoopert/sets/72157628083661419/show/
my friend clicked on your blog from mine yesterday and i immediately got an email that said “who is brian ferry? his blog rocks.” haha! so proud you are my friend.
i don’t know how to change the fact that my comments show up as “tknapper”.
testing :)
