I shot some black & white film (Ilford HP5+) in my Hasselblad last week – I was testing out some shots for 2 different upcoming projects. The photos above were taken for a project I’ll be working on later this month … excited to get shooting again.

On a side note, I’ll be in L.A. from April 16 until April 23. If you have good suggestions for interesting people or places to photograph, drop me an email (I’m not looking for tourist hotspots). Or if you need a photographer for a small project during those dates, let’s discuss – I’ll have some free time while I’m in town.

that film is great. also great: those glasses!
loving the black and white!
So absolutely stylish!
Hello. I spent a week in Highland Park a few months ago (a great spot in its own right, and worth visiting), but used up a lot of my film on Broadway, photographing the mostly defunct theatres. Although it surely falls under the “tourist hotspot” canopy, the Griffith Observatory was also very welcoming to the lens. Anyways, whatever your intentions, you’ll end up with more pictures of palm trees than you’d like. Have fun.
Books, glasses, a peaceful atmosphere. Mmmh.
Good eye for lighting.
nice shoots !
In your photos there’s always the light of life. Even if in black and white.
These are lovely! So graceful and quiet. Gorgeous light.
You could go to the Venice Canals – esp. at sunset. Too bad you probably don’t do actor’s headshots, I’m way overdue. Can’t wait to see your show out here!
Exploring Downtown Los Angeles is always interesting. There is lots of beautiful architecture, interesting people and good food places popping up all over.
Beautiful beautiful light!! Seriously, wow.
The light in both of these photos is gorgeous.
Beautiful light, interestingly composed.
