I love the ever-so-gentle curve of the horizon. And welcome, ahead of time, to my home state.
Re: LA: If you’ve got time for amazing Italian food (that won’t break the bank), go to Mozza. Bar seats are available if you can’t get a reservation on OpenTable. Some of the greatest AUTHENTIC pizza in the U.S. is right there.
Also the French chain Le Pain Quotien has some good outlets there for awesome (but cheap) breakfasts/brunches.
Love that highway in the sky and all best to you in LA. I have fantasies about which block downtown I might like to live in . . .
