I’ve been shooting recently with a Pentax 6×7 medium-format camera that my friend Kyle is lending to me. I am completely obsessed with the photos that come out of this beast. I shot a test roll around Brooklyn over Memorial Day weekend and so I’m sharing a few of those favorite photos today.

I feel like I went for a walk around the city. Those can’t be trash bags, can they? The colors!
Great photos. I think your stateside pics look very different from your UK pics. But THESE photographs are something else again. More a synthesis of US and UK. I really like them a lot.
Love these. Love! Those bags! And the one looking from underneath the lamp (is that what that is? Can’t figure out the angle but pretty sure that’s a lightbulb!) – the play of the light and shadow there is mesmerizing. These are some of my favorites you have ever posted.
Nice shots. I like that last one with the bench and the shirt/jacket(?) draped over the back.
Did you find it heavy to hold and to walk around with?
These photos are rad. The first, especially, is stunning.
Really love the bag shot – what was in them?!
guys, they are laundry bags
All the photos are visually arresting, Brian. I specifically like the last photo as it echoes a beautiful melancholy to it, well at least for me. Beautiful shots, as always.
medium is HUGE !
Those first and third pictures are wonderful! I love the colours of the bags stacked up and the shape of the light/lamp shade.
really like that camera Brian, great results you got there.
Those are amazing! I love the colours and sharpness of them. Beautiful!
love! that third one down is just crazy. in a good way of course.
Always a favourite of mine too, whenever I was lucky enough to use one – something about the depth of field. Love these. I think they do a digital one which is lighter?
