I took Christophe & Gemma to my favorite beach in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. The weather could not have been more ideal — and the sunset that night was a jaw-dropper.

Also: we played this Jonathan Richman video on repeat that week. As Christophe said, “He’s such a Don.” (Jonathan’s expression at the 12 second mark confirms it)
my goodness. these are incredible!!
Wonderful photos! I just came back from RI as well, 3 weeks ago, where I celebrated my birthday. I keep the same memories as you of a wonderful weekend on the beach with amazing sunsets.
So beautiful! You guys must have a had a great day. I love the story you told here. The shadows are so nice as are the tones. What film did you use? I love all the boat shots and the one with the beer bottles and the befuddled shadow. Great stuff, Brian!
Once again, your documentary/fine art observational style is impressive.
Love them all but the latter and hedge image is supreme!
Thanks for sharing your glimpse of the world.
One of my favorite series — truly transporting. What’d you take these with?
Such an Incredible summer atmosphere in these. Unfortunately, summer is nowhere to be seen in Paris right now…
the light on the water is fantastic (in all shots)–
Great photos!
xxxFiC,
Such beauty in every shot!
Gah, I love that place! I knew i recognized that ridiculous dune hill. Great photos!
Ahhh. These are so nice and refreshing, full of summer and relaxed feelings. All the boats in the harbour are my favourites.
Amazing shots – now I want to go visit myself!
I love your blog and adventures! The picture of the man standing at the top of the dunes is amazing!
and the first one! ;o)
Glass bottles and the beach are not friends. I hope you packed them out even if they were not yours. I like the picture with the roses creeping through the fence.
Lovely photos, congratulations!
Just beautiful. That first photo is particularly stellar.
I’m at my computer, but I wish I were diving in your photos.
Me too! :0)
Brian, these are looking great!
Wait, now I have to comment again: that Jonathan Richman video just made my usual coffee even more spectacular. Love it. Thanks.
This looks so much like Sweden!
I love the feel of this series.
TOO much to love in this series, the trimmed hedge and person a top of the hill in particular, view from car window…( and lesbian bar dance )
