April 2012, Torrey Pines State Park, California

Walking around Torrey Pines back in April, I took note of the arid, almost bleak landscape and the dramatic shadows and rock formations. Most of all, I was inspired by the colors – the muted pink, orange, red, tan, grey, sandstone. As the light changed, so did the colors.

Very peaceful.
Gigantic print of photo #2, please! :)
agree with Kate. #2 is magnificient.
Love these colors. They remind me of Beginners, as well!
nice shoot………. peaceful tone
Like the tree silhouette and the prickly pear. Very nice
Lots of white water. Looks like it would have been a great day to surf Blacks. Years ago Torrey Pines State Park used to be the place I’d go to fast and meditate on Yom Kippur instead of going to a synagogue. I used to love seeing the road runners that hung out on the trails.
The best place for a walk alone.
i grew up a few miles north of there. majestic coastline!
These photos are beautiful Brian! That first photo really shows all the amazing details of the rock.
Beautiful.
I can feel the sand under my feets…
Beautiful scenery. Lovely photos.
That second picture = perfection.
I used to sneak in there at night when there was a full moon and the sandstone would almost glow.
