Eventually, it was time to board the ferry and head back to the mainland.
The rest of my time in Maine was hot & sunny – I have to say, I’m really glad it was cool, grey & foggy on the day we traveled to Vinalhaven. I hope I can go back to the island again soon (& thanks to Lynsey & her grandparents for the hospitality – and for the Mrs. Dempster’s doughnuts).
