……………………..
what a weekend it was…
summer temperatures, a photobooth, the first baseball game of the season, laughs with friends, lots of time outdoors, a new hammock on the roofdeck, beer with lemon, the sunday times, catching up on old magazines, a neon pink sunset, and lots of ice cream.

now i am sitting outside with my coffee, listening to the birds and the sounds of my neighborhood waking up, and writing this. a very good start to the week ahead.

what are some highlights from your weekend?

saturday was a lazy day in front of the telly (I even couldn’t muster up the energy to pop out and get the saturday papers!) and yesterday we went down to cheer on our sister-in-law who ran the london marathon (her first!). it was a truly wonderful day that made me love my adopted hometown a little bit more (brilliant atmosphere) and made me think that I’d quite like to run a marathon too (a thought that I have NEVER entertained before). your weekend looked fun! how’s the hammock? I’m thinking of getting one of those too for our garden…

looks perfect, especially the smashed-in-a-booth-with-lots-of-women :)

We lived outdoors: baseball also; picnics; time at the beach. Perfect.

Being “stand-in” bride for one of my best friends down in Charleston. And spending another weekend tearing up the dance floor with “Flash,” lead singer of Complete Desire. Beer with lemon looks delicious right about now…

Oh, I love good weekends with good company… we had our own dinner party, loving asparagus being in season, long walks with the pups, and now, I am facing procrastination and too many student essays. :)

met a friend, got a coffee, walked downtown, fabric shopping, in the sun. it was warm and we walked for hours, and it seemed like everyone was out, just enjoying the good weather. a taste of what’s to come.
