today, i thought i’d share a few food-related bits…
++ today is opening day at delancey. join me in sending best wishes to molly and brandon – cheers to you both! here’s to a very smooth opening. (some press about delancey, and a little preview). i’m looking forward to a visit next month.
++ last weekend, i spent a lot of time at my local bookstore engrossed in this book, “terrine” by stéphane reynaud (on the webpage, click on “look inside” underneath the book’s cover image to view a few of the stunning photos). i’m not sure if i’m ready to prepare terrines at home, but i am surely putting this one on my wish list (the layout and the photography are unbelievable). after reading a great article recently about terrines in “the art of eating“, perhaps it is time to make one of my own. either way, if you have a chance to flip through this one, do so.
++ speaking of books, i can’t wait to see nigel slater’s new book (watch the related video for more info) (and thanks for the tip, valeda). it’s available in the UK in september, but i’m not sure when it will come out in the U.S. hopefully soon.
