……
this week i hoped to snap a few photos of books and things that i’m currently enjoying.  but it’s been really grey and dark here this week so the light did not cooperate.  which means i’ll hope for better light next week and i’ll look forward to sharing it all with you then.

instead, how about some food shots?

the top photo is a bagel from the famous beigel bake in london, with salt beef & mustard (on my list ever since i saw this photo).  it was damn good.

the bottom photo is what i like to make when i’m feeling lazy but i really want french toast for breakfast.  (a big fat slice of white bread from the bakery near my flat, toasted with loads of butter and sugar + cinnamon on top.) with a little bit of sunshine in the morning, it’s a pretty good substitute.

i’m signing off here for the rest of the week — i have some very excellent guests coming to town and i can’t wait.  have a good one!

Aw man! I used to live near beigel bake but I only ever bought the fresh, plain bagels to take home. i want the one you’re eating! Next time I’m in the area, I guess.

There’s just something about that first pic. Question – what does the blue hour refer to? :)
