. . . . . . . . .

you know what i’d like to do this weekend? go to the ocean. but i can’t, so i’ll look at these photos from last summer along the east coast in the U.S.

a huge thanks and a big HELLO to all of you who left a comment on tuesday’s post. thanks for taking the time to write in. i enjoyed hearing from you and reading your words about summer.  in the end, i decided to randomly select 2 winners given the response, and stephanie and victoria are going to receive prints in the next couple of weeks.

i hope you’re enjoying the weekend … for those of you in the U.S., happy fourth of july! save me a hot dog on the BBQ, ok?

Happy 4th although it is over for you in London. I live one hours drive from the gorgeous Pacific ocean and feel lucky to be that close.
Love your blog and photos and am quite jealous that you are living in London, my favorite city away from home

I just love the first picture with the upturned boat, so beautiful! I hope you have a good weekend even if you aren’t able to go to the ocean. :)

i discovered your blog via orangette, and i just wanted to let you know how much i appreciate it. your photographs are beautiful and compelling, and i enjoy reading your commentary on art, music, and food and travel. you’ve introduced me to things like mixcasting and “penny universities” (i work at a radio station and at a coffee shop), and how light can make or break a photograph.

anyway, that’s all i wanted to say. keep posting!

    cheers,

    harley
