. . . . . . .

I’m very excited to tell you about some new photos I shot for Brooklyn Magazine‘s summer issue, which is now available.  I really enjoyed working with them – and they let me shoot film, too – which was awesome.  The magazine is interesting and full of beautiful photos from various photographers, so I’m happy to be involved.

My assignment was to visit the brand-new Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg Brooklyn, and shoot the hotel and their restaurant Reynard’s (from the Marlow & Sons/Roman’s crew). It had opened about a week before I visited so everything was still very new and not everything was finished in the hotel – but they were very close. What I did see was great – the lobby, bar and restaurant are great spaces and I’m sure I’ll be spending lots of time there with friends.

You can read the article online and see an online slideshow of my photos here. Or if you’re local, pick up a print copy of the magazine at a newsstand in Brooklyn.  Enjoy!

that’s awesome! great photos. I pass by the Wyeth everyday and I think you’ve done a better job than Conde Nast Traveler in their current issue :)

I really wanted to reblog this piece about the Wyeth Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. the blue hour – Brian is the man behind the scenes – has done a great job of capturing the details of the hotel. What a wonderful glimpse into this beautiful building. Fantastic work, and what an honour for the photos to be featured in Brooklyn Magazine. Congratulations! Can’t wait to see more work from you.

Visually arresting series… the lighting and composition capture perfectly the mood for this piece. I love how you use the light to bring life to every day objects… adding texture and dimension to the smallest detail.

Great shots! I live in the neighborhood and got to preview the hotel at the Vice Faile party a few weeks back. It’s a great space. You captured it perfectly!

I very nearly stayed there when I came to NY recently for the ICFF on the strength of some nice images I saw about the Hotel! The power of your photos! I ended up in some crummy posh hotel in 44th Street.
