. . . . . .

Some Vermont randoms.

(Going for a swim in Quechee Gorge was a highlight — luckily, many of the swarms of tourists stay up near the bridge so it was quiet and relaxing by the swimming hole)

Also – this stunning video is well-worth 3.5 minutes of your time this weekend. It’s a cinematic trailer-type video promoting the latest blockbuster exhibition at the National Gallery in London (Titian’s Metamorphosis paintings of Ovid’s Acteon and Diana).  Visually stunning and a beautiful interpretation of the classic myth. (via It’s Nice That)

Finally, one of my favorite restaurants, EAT in Greenpoint, is trying to raise some money on Smallknot (this is sort of like Kickstarter but neighborhood-based and a little different).  They want to raise $5,000 to buy a kiln and turn EAT into a space for pottery as well.  With your support, EAT will be able to offer pottery sessions (including supplies) so you can make your own pottery in their backyard.  With your donation, you get a bunch of cool thank-you gifts – dinner for 2, a $25 gift card, etc. etc.  If you’re a fan of EAT – then donate!  It’s worth supporting local businesses.  And if you’ve ever eaten there, you know how beautiful their pottery is …

The video was stunning. That is the only word for it. I am shaken and startled. Thank you.

Also, the textures in your second, third, and fourth photographs are particularly interesting.

so if you are on 4 west and coming up to parking lots on left and right before bridge which way do I hike to swimming hole? Right or left on trail? I always go in OCT as I am over here on coast of NH

Guess I never saw the damn either, I take photos and videos from both sides of the road off the bridge and then follow river down stream a little bit then make the loop back up to Harley lol

Love these, especially Shari with her feat in the water :) Hey do you know what sort of snake that is? I saw one just like that on my walk this morning and I’ve been wondering about it ever since!
