. . . . . . . .

A whole bunch of photos taken in São Paulo while I was there in late September for a magazine shoot.

I really enjoyed the city – it’s overwhelming at times, and it’s tough to walk around with a camera in the city (locals advised me against taking out expensive equipment in public, due to the higher rates of crime there). But there is so much to see – I was in Jardins a lot, the “fancier” area (this is where I stayed and where I did my photo shoot). Even here, the buildings are super interesting and there’s lots to see. I also visited nearby Ibirapuera Park on the recommendation of Brazilian friends Marcelo and Fran, which was great. Lots of famous Niemeyer buildings, and I got to see the São Paulo Biennial while I was there.

I hope to visit SP & Brazil again soon.

how wonderful that the grids to protect the tree roots are custom made to fit each tree. I like that mentality.
