Higienópolis, São Paulo
. . . . . . . .
An afternoon walking around the neighborhood Higienópolis in São Paulo. Many friends recommended visiting to see some of the famous architecture from the 1950s & 1960s here. My friend Rafael gave me a great tour of his apartment building, the Edifício Parque das Hortênsias designed by Brazilian architect João Artacho Jurado. (The photos above taken from the roof show this building). Jurado designed many of the buildings in this area, giving them all his distinctive look, colors & lines. Such a great area to walk around and gawk at the architecture & design.
A google image search for “Artacho Jurado” will show you many more great views of these buildings.

Amazing post Brian, amazing pictures.
Stumbled upon your work recently and have quickly become a fan. I really love what you choose to share from your travels. You have quite the eye for colour in the cityscape.
