Above, Kashmir photographed on assignment from Condé Nast Traveler – the March issue is on newsstands now.

These are all photos that were published in the print and digital version of the magazine. I’m working on a larger edit of photos from this assignment for a bigger project, and I can’t wait to share more soon. Over the coming month I’ll continue to post photos & stories from Kashmir – more very soon.

(p.s. – you really should pick up the magazine to read the article itself, written by the excellent Hanya Yanagihara, which explains a lot about the embroiderer you see above and the incredible crafts made by the talented artisans in Kashmir using skills that have been handed down through many many generations. It is simply mind-blowing – like nothing I’ve ever seen before.)
