My favorite shot is the one with the beer and newspaper on the table. It’s kind of got this haunting feel. Like someone just disappeared.

So, so nice! I second the books against the door, but the lonely beer glass is kind of fabulous.

I do the same thing. I’ve found that doing the double exposure project with Steph (Parke) has actually helped me to shoot things I normally wouldn’t. It’s interesting!

These have such lovely warm summer light. You have a way with light, Brian. :-)

mmm, there is so much life here, quiet as it is. the opened jar, the unfinished glass of beer, the newspaper, the chalkboard.

it’s funny how we are often attracted to the same subjects, over and over again. even when we try to do something different.

Oh,i can absolutely relate to that. It’s just a never ending visual research.
I mean, how can i possibly get tired of making pictures of things i love when the light makes them look so delicious?
Wonderful photos as always and it’s nice to see some faces among them.

I was in Paris this last summer – your top picture immediately drew me back there. Just a window and building but the feeling of Paris was there.
