Josey Baker for Harry’s Five O’Clock Mag
. . . . . .
Our first morning routine from a city outside of the NYC area, we visited and photographed Josey Baker of The Mill in San Francisco for Harry’s Five O’Clock Mag.
Josey is incredible – I first met him on a trip out to SF last February, through my friend Heidi. He’s hilarious and super talented and his morning routine is very (very) strict. I guess it needs to be when 300 loaves of bread must be baked each morning. We showed up at his apt super early (way before sunrise) and then followed him into The Mill.
Learn more about Josey, his bread, and his mornings at Harry’s Five O’Clock Magazine. Especially worth it so you can read the hilarious email Josey sent us which gave us the breakdown of his morning routine.
(ps: more hilarity and enthusiasm at Josey’s amazing blog)

Josey is seriously one of the best and you captured him so well! Love all the lighting in these.
His smile was infectious the first time I ever met the guy! He makes a mean (amazing!) bread to say the least.
Especially like the one in the John, haha!!
Very good use of the lighting, especially for the first photo!
Jeff Hamelman is old friend. Neat. Boy I miss his baking here in town.
I was born in a bakery. So pretty post

I think my favorite part of this series was noticing how the light changed as the sun rose/I scrolled down the page.
