good morning.
i spent most of my weekend eating strawberries. i simply could not get enough … with mint for breakfast, straight from the carton for a snack, in a popsicle with local strawberries & cream, strawberry dumplings … it was pretty great.
i also spent some time in the kitchen and i hope to show you tomorrow what i made.

i’ve been stuffing myself with strawberries too! but not yet in popsicle form… i think that settles our weekend plan for the brooklyn flea :)
oh, yeah! i have been enjoying them as well, they taste like summer. now i want popsicles! i like these photos with the reds. . . .
Love the red peeking through. I love strawberries too, they are the best right now. I too just eat them raw. there’s no need to cook with them. They are delicious on their own.

Love all this red! I always forget how much farther south New York is than Seattle… our strawberries aren’t in season yet. Rhubarb, though, is, and I roasted it for the first time: easy and perfect with ice cream, yogurt, etc. Happy Monday!

i like all of the red. we finally found the first local strawberries at the market here. we’ve been eating them on cereal, straight up, and i made the strawberry dumplings too. yum. think i’ll have to pick up that diner journal when i’m in BK.

holy crap those dumplings look awesome! if only i hadn’t already eaten the pint of fresh strawberries i bought at the farmers market this weekend. doh.
love these! especially the red coffee cup! and summer is the perfect time for strawberries. st. louis has a great farmers market with just those very things.
